The Race Port is famous for being an amazingly small and light BOV for turbocharged competition level engines. Featuring our unique collar design and internal flow structures, it is 50% lighter and 25% smaller than the competition while flowing 330 CFM - making it the highest flowing BOV of it’s type on the market. A Blow-Off Valve, sometimes called a diverter valve or bypass valve, is a pressure relief valve that is mounted between the turbo and the intake manifold. It releases excess air pressure when the vehicle comes off throttle. A Blow-Off Valve is an essential part of a turbocharger system, as it prevents damaging turbo compressor surge that can be present on rapid throttle and/or engine load changes, it also increases the response of the turbocharger by not over-slowing the turbine. All Turbosmart Blow-Off Valves are made entirely from billet aluminum, so they will never crack and leak like cast or plastic units do. They also improve boost response from the turbocharger.
