The Turbosmart UltraGate38 is a 38 MM external wastegate for street and racing applications, specifically for classic 2 bolt flanges (71 MM spacing). Designed with minimum size and maximum flow in mind, the new UltraGate38 is smaller and lighter than previous models & features Turbosmart's unique locking collar design for quick and easy spring changes (from 3 PSI to 26 PSI include in the box). Features a one-piece Stainless Steel Valve for maximum reliability and our proven Silicon Nomex Diaphragm.
The most common reason for investing in an external wastegate is fitting an after-market turbo or better control of the boost and consequently the power output of your engine. Additionally, most large frame turbochargers are not equipped with internal wastegate systems. Most tuners will recommend an external wastegate for any engine producing 400 HP or more, as running high boost through a factory internal wastegate can overpower the actuator spring, limiting maximum boost level. Aftermarket external wastegates feature bigger inlet and outlet ports, higher pressure springs and bigger actuator diaphragms to effectively control high boost pressure. They are designed and manufactured using the latest technologies.

Turbosmart new GenV wastegates are a direct fit upgrade to all 4th-generation Turbosmart wastegates. All GenV wastegates are provided with a range of springs (3 PSI to 26 PSI) and feature our unique collar-locking system, rotatable actuator, strap-type V-band clamps, 1/8" NPT ports, and "optional" liquid-cooling. Also available in Motorsport, Compressed Gas (Co2), High Pressure (HP) and Electronic Actuated (eWG).
* Flow - Turbosmart's innovative engineering team has designed the GenV range to be the highest flowing on the market in ANY size. Through careful flow conditioning, flow has been optimized at every valve position without compromising control.
* Thermal Performance - Building on the existing market leading thermal performance of Turbosmart external wastegates. The new GenV range handles more heat energy for three times longer during thermal gas stand testing, allowing for a greater thermal threshold currently unseen in the marketplace. The optional liquid cooling provision allows for unparalleled thermal performance in high temperature engine bays.
* Control - The GenV allows for any application of boost control. Aside from the standard units, bespoke Compressed Gas and Motorsport options are available and the entire range is compatible with our unique valve position sensor. For fine-tuning boost performance, a selection of springs are supplied with each wastegate. All wastegates feature 1/8" NPT ports for maximum response and positive sealing at high temperatures and pressures.
* Adjustability - The unique variable adjustment design allows the wastegate actuator base to be oriented independently from the weld flanges. The cap is also completely independent and indexable in 12 different positions compared to the actuator base and body - so you can always get your fittings where you need them.
* Upgrades and Servicing - Due to the modular construction, all components can be removed or upgraded, making the new GenV wastegate range upgradeable and completely serviceable.
