ACT twin-disc clutch kits offer a wide range of street-friendly to race-ready options with torque capacities ranging from 875-1515 FT/LBS. These kits offer two discs, which results in nearly twice the disc surface area compared to a conventional clutch design, and that means better wear characteristics, a higher heat capacity and longer life. The twin-disc kits include ACT's proprietary Positive Lift Floater system, which automatically compensates for disc wear.
Each kit offers a choice of three different clamp load designs to give unparalleled performance and moderate pedal effort. Users also have the option of choosing disc combinations that feature high torque capacities along with smooth consistent engagement. In addition to the variety of options for these kits, they are completely serviceable. All twin-disc kits can be sent back to ACT’s manufacturing facility for resurfacing, component replacement and rebalancing, which is performed at a fraction of the cost. Included in ACT twin-disc kits is a CNC-machined and dynamically balanced forged Chromoly flywheel to ensure smooth, trouble-free installation and years of continued service. As with all ACT clutches and flywheels, these kits are backed by a 1 year manufacturer’s warranty against factory defects. The ACT Race twin disc kit is a true, bolt-in kit with no modifications needed. The Race twin disc kit features sintered iron discs for maximum holding capacity and quick shifting. ACT Race twin disc kits meet SFI Specification 1.2 and are legal in all racing organizations that require SFI certification.
ACT twin disc kits offer twice the number of disc surfaces for better wear, heat capacity and long life compared to single disc kits. These kits use a proprietary Positive Lift Floater System design, which results in quiet operation with no floater rattle and no posts to wear. With an ACT twin disc, there also is the ability to adjust for compensation of disc wear and provides equal disengagement for discs.
All ACT twin disc kits include a CNC-machined and dynamically balanced flywheel to ensure trouble-free installation and operation. Exclusive four-stage, heat treating process performed on all diaphragms. ACT's sintered iron race discs offer the highest torque capacity of ACT race discs and have ultra-high heat capacity. Sintered iron discs are recommended for cars using clutch-less shifting or drag racing transmissions. ACT sintered iron race discs feature top grade rivets to securely fasten the part together. The rivet design and rivet materials are carefully selected for maximum strength. ACT sintered iron discs are extremely durable and heavy, and have very harsh engagement.

Most kits offer pedal loads 10-20% higher than stock, yet increasing the clamp load by 80-90%.
All ACT twin disc kits include a CNC-machined and dynamically balanced flywheel for trouble free use. All kits undergo an exclusive four-stage, heat-treating process on all diaphragms. ACT twin disc kits include a pressure plate, two discs, floater, flywheel and alignment tool. Some kits may include a pilot bearing and release bearing.
